TikTok is ground zero for trends and where you can easily grow a new audience.

🍋 Find your hook. The question we ask in our training is ‘Why am I following a pool cleaner?’ and the answer is that there is some sort of hook. Find something that reaches beyond your current warm audience. A captivating visual, a joke, trending audio, a story, or a universal experience to include your content.

🍋 Two types of content. Keep in mind there are two types of content that you should be planning: audience building and audience engaging. You might only have audience building on TikTok but you can then encourage your audience to get on your newsletter or find you on Instagram where you can go deeper.

🍋 Create FOMO. A common mistake we see is losing momentum once you have someone’s attention. What should they do next? Make sure to follow you to know how your story ends? To learn more? For more engaging content? Or maybe it’s to order something before its gone!

There is a lot less consistency with TikTok in the sense that you can have something go viral and then see your next posts totally tank so you want to make the most of each interaction. But TikTok is the place where trends are being born right now so making the most of it should influence your other digital content. Are you using TikTok for your business yet?
